Bed & Breakfast

During our long hike we really enjoyed the mountain refuges: the common space to meet others, play a game, curl up with a book and share a meal. In our ecological bed & breakfast we combine this with lovely private rooms with good beds, to have the best of both worlds!

Rooms

The rooms are situated on the second floor and have access to two shared bathrooms.

All rooms are refurbished with natural and upcycled materials: earth and chalk walls, wood, and linen. There are quality beds and abundant natural light. In summer the thick walls and shutters keep it cool enough to enjoy a good night’s rest.

There is a bathroom on the ground floor with a separate compost toilet. On the second floor you will find a shower room. The separate toilet on this floor is a water flushed toilet.

Good to know

How to find us

If you come from Villé, rue Engelsbach is the first street on the right after entering the village, and if you come from Steige, it is the last street on the left. We are up the road, a light green house behind a blue house.

If you want to come by public transport, we are happy to pick you up from the bus station of Villé (free of charge) or the train station of Sélestat (€ 10,00 one way).

Accessibility of the property

The house is built on a rock and the land stretches upwards on a slope. To reach the rooms, common room, and the terraces you need to take stairs. Please keep this in mind when booking a room with us.

Parking

There are 2 parking spots for guests in front of the house.

How to get around

There is no public transport in Maisonsgoutte, however you can reach many places by foot (in less than an hour) and you can rent bikes in Villé.

Where to eat

Maisonsgoutte has two restaurants you can reach by foot (10 minutes): Au Raisin and Aux Deux Clefs. There are many more restaurants in the valley from traditional Alsatian food, take-away to deluxe dining.

Gluten-free

As Roos eats gluten-free there are gluten-free options available for breakfast and dinner. Please let us know in your reservation if you would like to eat gluten-free.

Children

Kids are welcome. We do not have specific facilities for children but usually they enjoy discovering the colorful and buzzing world of our land. We can place a baby cot or an extra bed depending on the room.
